Cascians Present at International Science and Engineering Fair

Three members of the Upper School Science Research Team qualified at the Regional or State Science Fair to present at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) in May, 2016.  Junior Beau Bingham, senior Gracie Rule, and sophomore Erika Ravitch were among 1760 Finalists from 73 countries invited to attend this year in Phoenix where Beau Bingham won Second Place out of 88 projects in the Microbiology category.

The team earned several awards at the State Science Fair in April:

  • Minna Apostolova qualified for a Junior Academy of Science trip to Boston in 2017
  •  Joseph Barbour won Best of Fair in Division II (7th – 9th grades)

Division I Category Awards Included:

  • Beau Bingham – First Place, Microbiology
  • Andrew Henderson – First Place, Behavior and Social Sciences
  • Erika Ravitch – First Place, Biochemistry, Medicine and Health
  • Minna Apostolova – First Place, Zoology
  • Gracie Rule – Second Place, Biochemistry, Medicine and Health
  • Paige Roberts – Second Place, Environmental Sciences
