Profiles of the countries of the world. Includes basic information about the

Oklahoma Union Catalog
The statewide database used for interlibrary loan purposes. Use this database
to find books located in libraries across the state which may be useful for
research papers and especially for senior thesis papers. We can try to borrow
these books for you via interlibrary loan. WARNING! This is a great thing, but
it does take time to initiate a request and there is shipping time involved. If
you want to take advantage of this service, DO IT EARLY IN YOUR RESEARCH. You
may search this database by keyword or use advanced search to search by author,
title or subject heading. Extra special time saving feature to locate the most
relevant books on your topic when you do not know what the official subject
heading is: Type in your keyword. Hit enter to get a listing of books with that
keyword in them. Select the record for what looks like the best book on your
topic. Then click on the subject heading in the record and the computer will
produce a list of books with that same subject heading.
The Academy of American Poets
The best poetry site! Includes a large database of poems and links to related
sites. Search by poet or by poem. This is the only poetry site that includes
links to critical essays. Click on 'Literary Links' on the left column of the
screen. Then click 'Browse Poet Links' for critical essays and the texts of
poems.
Bartleby.com
Great for St. Augustine papers and senior thesis. Divided into four parts:
Reference, Verse, Fiction and Non-fiction. The full texts of major works are
available and searchable by keyword. You can search St. Augustine's Confessions
and works by philosophers for a single word. Includes an extensive collection
of poetry, but no criticism.
Poetry Archive
Search by category (Poems on war, etc.) or by poet. Ignore the ads. The
information is good. This is the site to check for poems and poets to compare
and contrast.
