World Language Week

Last week was World Language Week at Cascia Hall. All five World Languages taught at Cascia had a special day on which students recited the morning prayer in that language, special music played during class passing, appropriate cuisine was served in the dining hall, and students could wear their club shirts to school.

A competitive toiletry collection was held to benefit Iron Gate Ministries. In the Middle School, the 7th grade donated the most to win an extra spirit dress day. In the Upper School, Houses competed for points, and the top three winners were Rita, Tack, and Perez Houses which received 50, 40, and 30 points, respectively. The House with the most points at the end of the school year wins the House Cup.

To wrap up the week, Greek Dancers from Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church performed and taught the students a few dances. See links to videos below. Four of the dancers are Cascia students: Labrini Panagopoulos, George Panagopoulos, John Kingsley, and Sophia Boyaci.
