St. Rita Chapel to Reopen

Saint Rita Chapel will reopen for 7 am daily mass on Monday, May 18, and for 10:30 am Sunday mass on Sunday, May 24. The dispensation from the Sunday mass obligation remains in effect, and vulnerable persons are encouraged to stay home.
The diocesan social distancing guidelines will be in effect: mass-goers should wear masks and maintain six feet distance between households. This means that our spacing will be limited and we may have to turn people away if space is filled.
Per diocesan guidelines, the following precautions will be made:
  • Main entry doors will be propped open and sanitizer available at the entrance
  • All worship aids will be removed and water fonts emptied
  • Pews will be alternately roped off and marked off for social distancing
  • Sanctuary space will be limited to the Augustinians (no lectors, servers, or EMs)
  • There will be no collection or procession with gifts
  • Communion lines will be altered for social distancing
Even under the present constraints, the Augustinians look forward to welcoming the Cascia community back into our Eucharistic celebrations.
