Congratulations to the Speech and Debate Team!
At the Oologah tournament last weekend, the CH Speech and Debate Team placed second as a team and picked up eight new qualifications to regionals, more than doubling their total going into the tournament. Outstanding performances included:
Carson Jones - 3rd in humorous interpretation
Amelia Huntsman and John Skrzypczak - tied for 2nd in humorous duet
Isaac Ingram - 3rd in debate
Kate Maricle - runner-up in prose
Kaleb Stone - runner-up in debate
Ellie Armstrong - tournament champion in debate
Jack Maricle - tournament champion in humorous interpretation and runner-up in dramatic interpretation
Jackson McCormick - tournament champion in both prose and dramatic interpretation and the Will Rogers award for outstanding communicator!
