Black History Month

Last week, Father Philip Cook, OSA, Headmaster, delivered a brief but thought-provoking reflection during chapel, illuminating concepts from one of the sermons of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
As a follower and proponent of nonviolence, Dr. King wrote about how one can deliberately choose to walk in forgiveness of others, thus following the commandment to love our enemies (Mt 5:43-44). We are called to 1) be open and willing to forgive; 2) recognize that there is good in every person, and 3) seek to understand, instead of to defeat, others.  #drKing #CasciacelebratesBlackHistory
