Returning Your Textbooks
Dear Cascia Hall Community,
Starting on Monday, May 11 Cascia Hall students will begin to return all textbooks and other supplies that have been taken home. For the safety of our families and employees, please read through the instructions and return schedule carefully.
Items to be returned:
- All textbooks
- Sports uniforms (only those you did not pay for)
- Middle School performance scripts
- Borrowed Chromebooks and/or cords
- Library books
- Upper or Middle School choir music folder
- Upper School musical scripts
Note: Any of the above-listed items that remain in a student’s locker will be retrieved by a staff member. You may return ALL your children’s items at one time if they are finished with them. You do not have to wait until each student’s allotted time slot.
Details:
- The textbook return will begin at the Upper School gym lobby. For safety, please limit the number of people entering the building to one person for each textbook return. If the load is too large, we will allow a maximum of two. All other people who are not physically walking into the building to return items must remain in their vehicles. Please do not get out of your cars in the parking lot. Do not let kids/animals out to run around or play.
- Cascia security officers and employees will assist in directing you to the appropriate location in the dining hall to return the books. Please follow all directional signage and markers to your appropriate return locations. As in most public places, we have marked 6’ increments in the event lines are backed up. Please adhere to those 6’ markings.
- We will have hand sanitizer upon entry and exit.
- Wearing a mask in the building is strongly encouraged.
- Bathrooms will not be open for public usage.
- You will need to enter and exit campus from Utica Avenue. The gate by the monastery will be locked so there will not be access from Yorktown Avenue through campus.
How to organize your items:
Attached to this letter is a document called Textbook Return Checklist form. Either print and fill it out completely and return with your bag of school items or neatly write this information on a sheet of paper. A separate sheet will be needed for each bag.
Locker Clean-Out Information:
Locker clean-out will happen at a later date. Please watch your email over the summer for upcoming instructions on locker clean-out. No one will be allowed to visit their lockers at this time.
Special Circumstance Return:
If you are in a high-risk category and do not feel comfortable returning your textbooks in this manner, please contact Jared St. John at jstjohn@casciahall.com to make alternate arrangements.
Seniors:
You will be receiving your cap and gown at the textbook return. Mr. Gammill or Mrs. Fox will be in the dining hall to hand these to you after you return your textbooks.
Juniors:
You will be receiving your senior patch at the textbook return. This is the red patch you will wear next year on your blazers. Mr. Gammill or Mrs. Fox will have a table in the dining hall where you will pick up your patch after you return your textbooks.
