Final AP Exam Update

AP Exams begin on Monday with the AP Physics and AP Gov tests.

This is just a reminder of some important things to do before the exam and to keep in mind on the day of each exam:
  1. Check your email or go to MyAP to get each exam ticket 2 DAYS before each exam.
  1. PRACTICE the AP exam using the AP Demo. This is IMPORTANT because it will let you see how to manage your time and to try out the various upload methods -- but you should follow the method advised by each individual AP teacher.
  • There is a checkbox for terms and conditions you need to check. Then, you must wait for the time to expire before the “continue” button will appear. Do not lose sight of the time because the exam will start counting down whether you press continue or not.
  • Similarly, if you have 2 questions and you submit question 1 before the time expires, DO NOT GET DISTRACTED; question 2 will start on time whether you are paying attention or not. Keep your phone out of reach but consider setting an alarm or timer.
  • If you try the practice demo and it does not work, try the following in this order:
    • Check your browser.
    • Remove all extensions.
    • Clear your history.
    • Clear your cache.
    • Remove cookies.
If you have problems with the practice, you will have problems on the day, so be sure to reach out to Mrs. Fox cfox@casciahall.com and our Director of Technology, Mr. Quaid jquaid@casciahall.com, for further help if needed.

3.If you have any disruptions on exam day, you have 48 hours to complete the request makeup exam form. Complete and submit the form as soon as possible, and please let the following people know with one email -- your AP teacher, Mr. Gammill sgammill@casciahall.com, and Mrs. Booth gbooth@casciahall.com

4.  Save your work or images of your work in a separate (not shared) folder. If you are downloading from Drive, be sure to do so in the correct format to upload to the College Board.
Enter your e-ticket number on the same device you intend to take the exam, and keep your e-ticket. Multiple devices are no longer recommended. This is a video to show you how to create a split-screen so that you can see the question and type at the same time.

Parents - if you can please consider helping your child with the following:
  • a quiet testing environment
  • Let family and friends know not to call or disturb, take students’ phones away if they don't need it-- it may only be an added distraction (although they could use it to set a timer for their questions and still keep it out of reach).
  • Limit or eliminate anyone else in the home using high bandwidth at the time of the exam
