Command Performance Auditions

Auditions for the 2018-2019 Command Performance, Cascia’s select vocal ensemble, are going to be held on March 1-2 after school in the Upper School chorus room. Those selected will become members for the entire 2018-2019 school year and will be committed to taking ensemble as one of their elective courses. All eligible individuals interested in joining are encouraged to audition.To be eligible to audition, students must:
  • have turned in the contract and deposit to attend Cascia Hall for next school year
  • currently be enrolled in 8th-11th grade (which means that next school year they will be in 9th-12th grade)
  • be in good disciplinary standing for the current school year (this should include avoidance of any major infractions resulting in suspension)
Students do not need to come to the audition with any music prepared but should plan on attending both days of auditions if at all possible. On March 1, students will meet from 3:15 pm until approximately 4:15 pm to learn the audition music (two short choral excerpts). On March 2, students will meet from 3:15 pm until approximately 5:3 0pm to review and sing those choral excerpts in audition. Students will be expected to sing multiple times with a variety of other individuals. Results of the audition will be announced by 3:00 pm on Monday, March 5.
