Cascia Hall will have late arrival for grades 6-10 on Wednesday, December 13. The 11th and 12th grade students will have a mandatory Minimester meeting at 8:00 am in the PAC.

The Class of 2018 has 23 students who have not completed their Caritas Project hours which were due April 30, 2017. Some members of the Class of 2019 are in need of service hours as well.  The next session ends January 31; over the Christmas break would be an ideal time for students to work on or complete their volunteer hours. The next Boy's Kairos Retreat is January 25-28. Applications will be available in the Triangle beginning Monday, December 3. Space is limited, so sign up early. All applications and deposits are due to Mrs. Leighty by Wednesday, December 13 at 3:30 pm.

Ticket & Merchandise Pickup is TODAY, Friday, December 1st, from Noon - 5pm in the Cascia Hall Gym Lobby, 2520 South Yorktown Avenue (please use Utica Entrance). All of your tickets and merchandise will be available for pickup at this time.

Be sure you have your tickets to this seasonal favorite event. It will put you in the Christmas Spirit! Guests will enjoy the PAC Art Walk featuring local and alumni artists while being entertained by student talent, "Walk" through a 35 year exhibit featuring many of the homes from the tour, enjoy lunch in the Bistro, bring kiddos to our first annual Santa Brunch and check presents off of your shopping list at our unique Boutique with over 60 vendors!

There will be volunteers at student drop-off and pick-up on Monday, November 27 to distribute Christmas Walk yard signs and posters to parents. Please take a sign home and put it in your yard and/or take a poster to put up at a place of business. The signs will be collected after the event. Thank you!

It’s time once again for the annual Cascia Hall Choral Christmas Concert! This annual event is a treasured tradition for many Cascia families and features both Upper School and Middle School students. The concert is Wednesday, December 6 at 7:00 pm in the Cascia PAC and is free and open to the public. Join us for a night of beautiful music that is sure to bring out the Christmas spirit in everyone!

It takes a Christmas Village to make Christmas Walk run! Please sign up today to volunteer for this fun and festive event. 

Jostens will be on campus during 2nd lunch on Tuesday, November 14 to take orders for senior rings. Please look over the information given to you at Wednesday's meeting and go to Jostens.com to design your ring. Print out the information and bring it to school with a $50 deposit on Tuesday, November 14. This is the only time that Jostens will be here to take orders.

The Key Club is sponsoring an all-school food drive next week to benefit the Food Bank. Collection boxes will be in first period classes beginning Tuesday morning, and donations will be collected until Friday. The first period class with the most items per student will receive spirit dress at a date to be determined.

Jostens will be on campus during 2nd lunch on Tuesday, November 14 to take orders for additional graduation items and senior rings. An $80 deposit will be required for orders totalling more than $80; payment in full will be required for orders totalling less than $80.

Note: Your cap and gown, 25 announcements, and 50 name cards will be provided. If you need additional announcements, you will need to place an order on November 14. This is the only time that Jostens will be here to take orders.

The Cascia Hall 6th Grade Football Team will play at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, against McAlester for the Indian Nations Football Conference "AA" Championship. The game will be played at the Glenpool High School Football Stadium. Come out and support the 6th Grade Commandos Football Team! It will be televised on Cox.

Each year, the Honors Performance Series, a program through Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House, allows high school students from around the world to be a part of their prestigious Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House performance series.  This year, two Cascia Hall seniors, Celyn Grigson (left) and Wilson Hoyt, auditioned and were selected as members of the Carnegie Hall Honors Choir. Wilson Hoyt was also accepted for the Sydney Opera House Honors Choir.

The use of e-cigarettes or "vape pens" is on the rise among teenagers across the nation. According to the Surgeon General's office, "No matter how it's delivered, nicotine is addictive and harmful for youth and young adults." Varsity Basketball Tip Off Night is Wednesday, November 8 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We will have a fun night of team performances, contests and prizes, music, and Varsity Cheer. Teams from 6th grade to Varsity will be a part of the festivities, and it is free to the public. We do ask for a canned food donation to the John 3:16 Mission for their Thanksgiving food baskets if you like.

Cascia Hall Tennis is partnering with the Vince Westbrook Tennis Academy at TU for our off-season players to train in their program. 

The CH Acceptance and Inclusion (CHAI) Club is conducting a drive this week for Emergency Infant Services. Please bring your donations to school by Thursday, November 2. There are collection boxes in the Dining Hall. Each class is asked to provide specific items. The winning class gets Spirit Dress on Friday!

The CPFA Brown Bag Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 1 has been cancelled.

Boys' practices for the 7th and 8th grade Conference teams began on October 26 in the MS gym and will alternate between the MS/US gyms every week. See game schedule.

On Monday (10/30/17), the 9th and 10th graders will receive their Minimester course selection sheets for electives. There will be other required courses; the attached descriptions are for the elective offerings.

Our annual Open House is Sunday, November 5 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Come, enjoy a tour of the school led by current students, meet the administration, faculty and coaches, and enjoy refreshments in the dining hall. The entire family is welcome. No reservation is necessary.

The annual 9th Grade Progressive Dinner is this Saturday, October 28th, 4:45 - 10:30. It will be a fun evening with food, friends and a DJ. Students will arrive at the Upper School gym lobby at 4:45 for appetizers and then at 5:30 we will bus students to dinner at the host homes.  Students will return to school at 8:00 for the dance and dessert.  The evening will end at 10:30 and pickup will be at the gym.

Girls' soccer tryouts have been rescheduled for Monday, November 6 at 6 pm at the stadium. Anyone interested in playing either JV or Varsity soccer is required to attend.

Parents of Middle School students: Please join us for the Middle School Brown Bag meeting on Tuesday, October 24 at noon in St. Augustine Hall. It will be a combination of grades 6, 7, and 8. Water and cookies will be provided.

Check your pantry! Check your freezer and fridge! Bring all you've clipped and collected to the Middle School office or Mrs. Heatherman's desk in the Upper School by end of school day on Friday, October 27.

Wednesday, October 18 is CAP Service Day for the Middle School with a noon dismissal. Sixth grade will visit Frost ECDC, seventh grade will visit McClure ECDC, and 8th grade will visit Disney ECDC. Students will read books, play outside, help with lunch, and complete projects for teachers during our time at each site.  All Middle School students will have Relaxed Dress for their service day.

Junior Ambassadors (JA) is a group of high school students who are actively involved in the fight against hunger through the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. The JA experience provides selected students with a unique program designed to create awareness and take action.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Oct 17, 2017 from 3:30 - 6:30 pm and on Oct 18, 2017 from 7:30 - 11:30 am and may be set up through the online scheduling system which will close at noon on Thursday, October 12.

Please note, the pet blessing scheduled for Wednesday, October 4 has been postponed due to the possibility of inclement weather.  The new date will be Tuesday, October 10th at 2:45 pm (weather permitting).

Freshmen have a class retreat on Monday, October 2nd from 8:00 - 11:00 am. You will report to the US gym. Students are allowed to wear the already approved dress for homecoming week.

Next week is Homecoming Week and each day has a different theme.  Students are encouraged to follow the schedule and dress up every day!

The Upper School is competing in the One Act Competition at Union High School Theatre on Saturday, Sep 30th! Cascia Hall performs "Up the Down Staircase" at 3:30 pm. Come support our One Act Team and see a great show!

As if you haven't heard, the Faculty and Staff at Cascia Hall are the best!  For the 14th consecutive year, 100% of the faculty and staff have given to the annual fund. The annual fund is an integral part of our budget and our goal for this year is $380,000. This week, parents should receive a letter from Headmaster Carter asking for your support of this year's Annual Fund Drive. Please join the faculty and staff and let's make it 100% of parents contributing to the annual fund too.

Congratulations to three Cascia Hall seniors who were recognized by National Merit Scholarship Corporation for their performance on the qualifying exam. The Living Arts Youth Arts Council is a new program dedicated to exposing high school students to contemporary art discussion and creation.

EIS is a non-profit organization that provides assistance to children five and younger in the Tulsa area whose families are in dire straits. Over the last several years, we have established an EIS Junior Board which consists of high-achieving high school students from across the Tulsa metro area.

Cascia Hall's 35th Anniversary of the Christmas Walk and Boutique is Sunday, December 3. We have several new exciting events, including a darling Santa Brunch, an amazing Art Walk featuring local and alumni artists in the PAC, plus all of your favorite traditions and merchandise.

The Annual Ladies Doubles Tennis Tournament is happening on October 16.

Cascia Hall Tennis is pleased to announce that we are partnering with the Vince Westbrook Tennis Academy (VWTA) at TU for our off-season players to train in their program.

Grade checks began this week to determine eligibility for Cascia Hall athletics and competitive clubs. Each athlete must be passing, a 60% or higher, all classes in order to participate in athletics. 

Middle School 7th and 8th grade tryouts will be held on Saturday, September 16 at the Cascia tennis complex. The girls will start play at 10 am and the boys will start play at noon.

Mrs. Bonnie Leighty in our Campus Ministry Office will be dancing for San Miguel School at their annual fundraiser, "Spotlight on San Miguel: Dancing With the Tulsa Stars," on October 21. She will be competing along with five other Tulsans who are committed to the cause. The dancer who raises the most funds will be the winner! Vote for your favorite dancer at www.spotlightonsanmiguel.org and on mobile devices at www.spotvoting.org.

The NAASP (National Association of Secondary School Principals) is inviting any 9th-11th grade student, who has made a difference in their community through volunteerism, to apply for the Prudential Spirit Community Award. All applications must be approved by Mrs. Leighty; see her for deadline information.

The Brittany Dance, Film & Theatre Foundation, a Federal nonprofit, is presenting a benefit silent auction and Ballet performance this Thursday night, August 24, featuring the Ballet of Puerto Rico in the Cascia PAC. This is the first time they have performed in Oklahoma!
