Ariana Brandes, Upper School Art
In these week-long camps, students will be introduced to techniques in drawing, collage, painting with watercolor and gouache paints, and air dry clay. After having a chance to experiment with each of these mediums, students will pursue their own drawing, painting or clay project for the remainder of the week. This year, students will be able to sign up for a morning or afternoon session. A snack will be included.

Do you want your student to stop pecking at the keyboard and learn how to type the correct way? If you value this life skill, I will help your students develop proper keyboarding techniques and they will practice, practice, practice. We will use a free resource that goes underutilized and once they are hooked on typing with better speed and accuracy, they can continue on their own at no extra cost. Have your student bring their Chromebook or qwerty keyboard device. Bring a snack and water.

Adolescence is a crucial period for developing social and
emotional habits important for mental well-being. These include
adopting healthy sleep patterns; exercising regularly; developing
coping, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; and learning to
manage emotions. Topics such as stress management, relaxation
techniques, normal emotional variations, sleep hygiene, self-
esteem, autonomy, making decisions, and recognizing personal
limits will be covered. I want your child to leave with essential life
skills to help them navigate school and beyond.
