Service Opportunity - Greater Tulsa Community

Tulsa Botanical Gardens DIG (Day in the Garden) is Saturday, May 12 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Volunteers (students, parents, faculty/staff) are needed to work with set-up and clean-up, and to help with kids activities and crafts. Three crafts are planned so far (seed bombs, flowers crowns, and decorating pots to be planted with herbs). Three volunteers are needed for each station.
DIG is a family event designed to be full of FUN for all ages! This "Come and Go" will feature great food and beverages, crafts, face painting, train rides and more! We anticipate hundreds will attend this year’s event, and we hope to generate much-needed funds to help with the Children’s Discovery Garden. In 2017, the Children’s Discovery Garden was host to many field trips, bringing in children from schools and organizations from all over Green Country. The kids enjoyed hands-on activities like scavenger hunts, art wall painting, and pollinator lessons. All these activates were made possible through the generous donations from events like DIG.
