Pazzo Invited to Three College Fly-in Programs
Congratulations to Sophie Pazzo who was accepted to three diversity fly-in programs (Smith College, Haverford, and Bates). The selection criteria were academic achievement and extracurricular involvement. These are all-expense-paid trips by the schools and are designed for student populations who might be underrepresented on their campuses. For example, the Bates coach mentioned that Sophie would be their first-ever Oklahoma athlete at the program should she choose to attend.
At the fly-in, students interview with admissions staff, attend classes, stay in the residential hall, and meet with faculty and athletic staff. Sophie will not be able to join the Smith fly-in due to a conflict with Cross Country Regionals, but she will participate in the Haverford and Bates programs in October.
